The WEA East Midlands Region are planning to put together a pre-PTLLS course to give anyone thinking about a career teaching adults a taste of what the PTLLS course is all about.
At the moment, for many, the first step is to enrol on a PTLLS course – but this can be a very big first step to take. So, the idea behind a pre-PTLLS course would be to introduce people to some of the skills and knowledge needed to teach in the lifelong learning sector.
The course is still being developed, but some of the topics it is likely to cover include:
- Adults as learners
- Reflective practice
- Learning styles
If you are interested in this course, either as a potential learner or as a partner organisation with a suitable room for hire and a willingness to help us promote the course to the local community – please call Lindsey for a chat on 07919 528 109.

/ April 24, 2012Hi Paula
We don’t have a start date set as yet, but as soon as we do I’ll post the information here. If we don’t get it set up before your NCN PTLLS course starts – best of luck with it! Lindsey

I’d also be interested in a taster session before the start of the next academic year.
