As part of this years Adult Learners’ Week celebrations the WEA, in partnership with ACLS, will be running a DIY Website Workshop at the libraries in Worksop and Mansfield during the week 14th-18th May 2012.
The workshop will provide people with an opportunity to have a go at designing a website using free software called WordPress, with the aim of having a brand new website set up by the end of the session!
The session will also give people a taste of what they can do with a computer that has internet access, and an idea for a website. Whether you want a website for your local playgroup, community events, self-help group, or just to share information with others, this workshop will give you the basics of how to set one up that is completely free and easy to update.
There will also be an art workshop deliverd by WEA tutor Margot Shores taking place at the Mansfield event – where anyone can have a go at a variety of art based activities. All the workshops taking place are completely FREE for everyone!
The Worksop Library event takes place from 10am-12pm on Tuesday 15 May
The Mansfield Library event takes place from 1.30pm-3.30pm on Wednesday 16 May
Additional workshops being offered by other providers include: Jewellery Making, First Aid, and Oil Painting. There will also be FREE refreshments available.
For more information about these events you can contact Lindsey on 07919 528 109, otherwise just turn up on the day to see for yourself what we’re up to!
