Two Flower Arranging courses are due to start in Nottingham later this month. Taking place at The Good Shepherd Social Centre in Arnold the courses will both run for 8 weeks as follows:
Floristry for beginners: stage 2
A continuation of last term’s course; aimed at those with a basic knowledge. Each week create and take home a floral arrangement. Course fees do not include the cost of materials; florist supplies can be bought from the tutor at a discount. Requirements for the first class: scissors, large round tray, five lily stems and filler garden foliage. Newcomers welcome.
Date: Wednesday 10am-12pm, 8 meetings from 25 January 2012
A continuation of last term’s course; suitable for those with previous experience. Each week create and take home a floral arragement. Course fees do not include the cost of materials. Florist supplies can be bought from the tutor at a discount. Requirements for the first class: short square vase, scissors, nine roses, twigs and unusual foliage.
Date: Thursday 10am-12pm, 8 meetings from 26 January 2012
The tutor for both courses will be Rebecca Newell, an experienced WEA tutor and professional florist.

Fee: £53.60 (discounted: £48.25). If you receive a benefit or have a low household income, you may be entitled to a fee concession.
